Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life in Carlisle Castle have teamed up with community venues around the area to encourage residents to be part of the Museum’s “Lest we Forget” commemorations.

As part of the Heritage Lottery funded project, the cultural venues around the county will deliver creative workshops with local artists. Come along, be inspired and take part. In this centenary year, the museum wants people to think about remembrance. This workshop is a creative response to remembrance, why we remember and what remembrance means to us.

Free “Drop in” sessions will be held at the Helena Thompson Museum, Workington on Saturday 7 April, Brampton Community Centre on Tuesday 10 April The Wave Centre in Maryport on Thursday 12 April between 11am and 3pm.

The artist-led creative workshop about remembrance is open to everyone whatever your age so please come along and get involved.
