Drovers Rest Inn at Monkhill Celebrates Pub of the Year

Drovers Rest Inn at Monkhill Celebrates Pub of the Year

For aficionados of real ale, craft beers, and great food who have been to The Drovers Rest – this will come as no surprise and many will be flocking to The Drovers this Weekend May-12-14th to join them as their Beer & Sausage Fest gets underway.

 Hundith Hill Advert

Since Beki and Tom took on the pub a few years ago, they have worked so hard to offer people something a little different to this rural country pub that sits on the outskirts of Cumbria’s largest city.

Becki and Tom have put their stamp on this brilliant venue, yet continued the tradition at The Drovers Rest Inn of bringing new beers onto the bar regularly. As it stands to date, they are now on Ale No. 1651.

Announced as Pub of the Year by Solway Camra, they are delighted and rightly deserved, we think.

Becki said, ‘Thank you to everyone for coming to celebrate with us this weekend when it was announced; it was truly overwhelming how much support we have from our fabulous customers!

Thank you to all the cracking breweries that have worked with us this year to ensure we have the highest quality beer on our bar.’

Something is always happening at The Drovers Rest – but the one constant is the awesome beer and great food.

Weekly and monthly events keep things fresh and different alongside their seasonal dishes, delicious smokehouse delights, and excellent ales and beers.

Events to look out for are as follows:

Tapas Tuesday is a popular day of the week at The Drovers Rest Inn, where you can enjoy mini plates while sharing flavours and experiences.

Tom spends Tuesday mornings working with our butcher and fishmonger to select the freshest items to feature on the menu. Pick any three dishes for £15.
