The Shepherds Arms is a countryside hotel and bar nestled in the strikingly beautiful wild valley of Ennerdale. Situated on the picturesque Coast to Coast route. The Shepherds Arms is a local eatery in every sense of the word.

Warm, laid back and friendly; patrons can often be seen sitting partaking in one of the board games or enjoying trading the traditional Cumbrian crack over a pint of local ale.

The traditional village centre hotel is famed for locally sourcing everything from the beef and lamb served up on their mouth wateringly popular Sunday roasts to the Bedrock gin and Standing Stones vodka in their refreshing mixers.

As well as a selection of local ales and spirits The Shepherds Arms also stocks a renowned selection of fine wines from all corners of the globe.

Keith Milburn owner at The Shepherds Arms said: “We try to serve local produce where we can. A lot of our clients are Coast to Coast walkers coming from all over the world and they really appreciate the chance to sample local ales and cuisine.

We are more than happy to do that because the food that comes off Cumbrian farms and the drinks from the area really are exceptionally good.”
