Jack McNeill is well known throughout the city for the time he spent entertaining audiences as a member of StagedRight Youth Theatre. For ten years he appeared in musicals and concerts at The Sands Centre including Les Miserables, Singin’ in the Rain and Me & My Girl before, aged 18, heading off to drama school in London.

Jack graduated from Trinity Laban Conservatoire in 2017 with a ‘first’ in musical theatre and went straight into professional work. Since graduating he has had eight professional jobs including a London production of The Hired Man, two UK theatre tours, a tour of the Far East and two pantomimes in Nottingham for Qdos Entertainment.

Last summer Jack auditioned for the West End musical ‘The Book of Mormon’ and after many call- backs and weeks of waiting, he found out just before Christmas that he had been offered a role.

“I was over the moon” said Jack. “The audition process takes many months and to find out just before Christmas that I had been offered a 12 month contract was a dream come true. I was unable to tell anyone until rehearsals began which was difficult”.

The Book of Mormon is a musical comedy with music, lyrics and book by Trey Parker, Robert Lopez, and Matt Stone. It follows two young missionaries as they attempt to preach the Mormon faith to the inhabitants of a remote Ugandan village.

“I play Elder Grant plus a few other roles in the show” said Jack, “to say too much would spoil the surprise. It is a fantastic show to be part of with great songs and wonderful choreography”.

Book of Mormon is on at The Prince of Wales Theatre, London
