Whitehaven’s Christmas Market’s and Firework display Bigger and Better!
Whitehavens annual Christmas market and fireworks display are back this Friday and will be bigger and better than ever!
Held in St Nicholas’ Gardens the Christmas Market is filled with over 40 local trader stalls selling a variety of goodies. From tasty treats to unique handmade gifts – it’s a great place to find some lovely little stocking fillers! The market will be held from 10am – 4pm.
Following the markets, head on over to the marina where the fantastic fireworks display will take place at 5:15, this years display will be twice as long as last years event and is expected to be wonderful to see.
Marleen from Whitehaven Town Council said: “Its going to be wonderful, the market is bigger than ever before and the fireworks are set to be the best yet, we’re expecting a fantastic day.”
Dont forget Santa’s grotto will be open in The Solway Hall where Santa will be waiting to see all the good boys and girls! No need to book just pop in.
Its a great opportunity to do some Christmas shopping too as all the local businesses will have their doors open.
As well as the fireworks the masts along the marina will be lit up in different colours from 4pm. The Whitehaven Christmas events are brought to you by Whitehaven Town Council.
