Something special at Sally’s of Warwick Bridge

Something special at Sally's of Warwick Bridge

Good homemade food does something special to the soul, but Sally’s in Warwick Bridge takes this to a whole new level.

The beautiful little cafe opened its doors 10 years ago after owner Sally Longstaff was made redundant in her previous job. The old post office building presented the perfect venue for Sally’s new venture, which at the time was a humble little tea room and a few cakes, but fate had other ideas.

Sally said: “We started totally from scratch, took the building back to brick and we refurbished the whole unit.”

“In my head we were going to be a little tea room, selling a few cakes and sandwiches, but we just kept growing!”

When you enter the cafe now you will be met with cake, scones, and more cake. With over 14 homemade cakes to choose from every day, as well as seven… Yes, seven different flavoured scones, to say you’ll be stuck for choice is an understatement. To ensure no one misses out, they offer a variety of treats which cater to specific dietary requirements, including made without gluten, made without dairy and made without eggs.

And it’s not just their delicious sweet treats that entice you through the door, they also serve a variety of food such as fresh homemade soup, homemade quiche, paninis, baguettes, jacket potatoes, pasta boxes and loads more.

Don’t forget, it’s Mothers Day on March 10th and what better way to treat mam than to give her an extra special afternoon tea. Mothers Day afternoon teas will be available in Sally’s Cafe & Tea Room, or to take away and enjoy at home. Booking is absolutely essential for afternoon teas.

With the Easter Bunnies annual visit just around the corner they will also have some Easter specials to look forward to including their mouthwatering homemade hot cross bun flavoured scones, which will be served with Clares Handmade Marmalade, a local company based in Wigton.

Open 7 days a week, Sally’s is the perfect place to enjoy a cuppa, a cake and have a good craic!
