The team behind news website Cumbria Crack has launched an exciting new business platform.

Business Crack is the place to go for all the latest Cumbrian business news, with expert insight and analysis fromlocal business figures. The new website is now live at www.businesscrack.co.uk  

A number of the county’s leading businesses and organisations are supporting the new platform as partners;providing regular updates and analysis on the latest news from the local business world. 

They include Armstrong Watson, University of Cumbria, Butterworths Solicitors, Cumbria Chamber of Commerce, Britain’s Energy Coast Business Cluster (BECBC) and Lloyd Limited.

The website features exclusive original content, including interviews, profiles, analysis and expert opinionfrom business leaders. The site aims to cover all aspects of business news – from nuclear to hospitality, tourism to manufacturing and everything in between.

Business Crack is part of the Barrnon Media group, which publishes weekly titles the Cumberland and Westmorland Herald and the Keswick Reminder and is also home to Cumbria Crack, with headquarters in Penrithtown centre. 

Business Crack’s editorial content is led by journalist Adam Lewis, who joined Barrnon Media in April. 

Before joining Business Crack, Adam worked for several years in local government corporate communications and as a production journalist for ITV News. He has also been a freelance feature writer for regional and national newspaper and magazine titles. 

Adam said: “Business Crack will be a huge asset to the business community in Cumbria and help connect businesses across all sectors with new audiences and customers. 

“I love telling stories and meeting people. My aim is to cover the full spectrum of business news – fromindependent traders all the way to the biggest corporations that operate in the county.

“I have already interviewed some extremely passionate local business owners and I can’t wait for people to read what we have been working on.

“There is no other platform like this, and I am proud to be part of the team behind this fantastic new project.”
