Gosforth Hall Bar and Restaurant

Our Dining Areas

Gosforth Hall has four dining areas with the bar and lounge offering a relaxed informal feel.  The 36 seater restaurant which could easily be set up for formal and informal occasions has a more elegant, relaxed feel and looks out onto the walled beer garden.

You could even choose to dine al fresco in the beer garden which has recently been refurbished and is fast becoming a favourite with our diners, especially on a warm evening.

Our Food

Gosforth Hall has a reputation for cooking up a perfect blend of pub classics you know and love from Chicken Melts, Burgers, Fajitas and Lasagne to  Rib Eye Steaks, homemade Pies and Salmon using local and seasonal produce where possible. There is always an opportunity to extend the selection with our daily specials, such as winter stews, game casseroles and homemade curries to fish and paella in the warmer months.

Sample Menu

Our puddings change regular and can range from the old warm favourites apple pie and custard, sticky toffee pudding and cherry pancakes to the cold Eton mess or lemon cheesecake and for sharing we have the ultimate Chocolate Indulgence.

The majority of our dishes are cooked to order and can be tailored to meet most special dietary requirements.

Our Bar

Nestled within the small rural village of Gosforth our bar offers a warm and friendly atmosphere in a classic country pub setting. Frequented by old and new faces, our bar proudly displays original sandstone walls, oak beams, a Coat of Arms, wood burning stove and a stone-mullioned window, brought back to life in 2009 after being partially blocked for well over 100 years.

During the winter evenings our wood burning stoves invite you in to enjoy the warmth of the Hall when supping a well-kept real ale, lager, wine or hot beverage. In the summer the bar door offers a gateway to the beer garden where you can relax, unwind, meet and greet old and new friends whilst enjoying a Pimms, Wine and Soda or cooling drink, whilst watching the sun go down.
