Whitehaven and District Amateur Operatic Society to Present Frozen The West End Musical
Whitehaven and District Amateur Operatic Society is set to bring a touch of Disney magic to Whitehaven this November with its forthcoming production of Frozen The West End Musical at Solway Hall.
The production is a particularly exciting one for the long established local society, with the amateur performance licence for Frozen The West End Musical only released in August 2026. Whitehaven and District Amateur Operatic Society is therefore among the first amateur groups to be granted permission to stage the spectacular musical.
The production features a cast of 27 performers, alongside two teams of children taking on the roles of the Young Princess and the Hidden Folk Child.
Audiences can expect a magical evening packed with memorable music, much loved characters and the unforgettable story of sisters Elsa and Anna, as the society brings the hugely popular musical to life on the Solway Hall stage.
Tracy McOuat, from Whitehaven and District Amateur Operatic Society, said:
“We are incredibly excited to be performing Frozen The West End Musical. The licence was only released to amateur societies in August, and we were thrilled to be one of the first groups to receive it. It is very exciting to be staging a production that so few amateur societies have performed before.”
The society will present six performances from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 November 2026, including a matinee performance.
The matinee has already proved extremely popular, with only individual seats remaining, so audiences are encouraged to book early to avoid missing out on this first-of-its-kind local production.
