The much-loved Winter Droving returns to Penrith on Saturday 24th October 2026, celebrating fifteen years of fire, folklore, community and the changing of the seasons.

As darkness falls, the town will come alive with the spectacular torchlight procession – a mesmerising display of lanterns, masks, music and performers winding through Penrith’s historic streets.

Throughout the day, the town will transform into a vibrant carnival, with street performers, musicians and entertainers bringing the streets to life. From the market squares to the expanded Middlegate area, visitors can expect a feast of creativity, colour and community spirit.

The event will feature many of the much-loved traditions that have made the Winter Droving famous, including the Fancy Dress for Dogs, the legendary Drovers’ Cup and the ever-popular Disco Tractor.

The 2026 celebration will also bring new experiences, with an expanded Art Market showcasing talented regional artists and makers, alongside delicious street food
