Party EH! – Presents: The Tea Street Band + Delagrave and DJ’s Friday 8th October @ The Brickyard, Fisher Street, Carlisle.
Local lads Party Eh! have two fantastic bands performing at the newly refurbished Brickyard, Fisher Street, Carlisle with doors opening at 8pm.
The Tea Street Band, from Liverpool are a mutilation that in its most extremes combine, 808 State with Doves and the gang mentality of The Happy Mondays. Their Balearic anthem ‘Fiesta’ is already a massive hit with the disillusioned youth in Liverpool. A strange and heady concoction that is making their growing fanbase keep coming back for more.
The lads have gained support from tastemakers such as Huw Stephens, John Kennedy, Janice Long, Clint Boon & Rob Da Bank.
With crowd pleasing hits including ‘Disco Lights’ ‘Only Love’ and the cover of Donna Summers ‘I feel love’ which got a massive reaction last time they came to Carlisle back in March 2019.
They have 2 fantastic albums to their credit and rumours of new music emerging, we a pleased to have them back to our great border city this time at the infamous Brickyard!!
Supporting the band is local act Delagrave….
Formed in early 2016, Delagrave started as the solo project of singer/songwriter Lauryn Graves. With the help of producer Rory McDonald, Delagrave has been featured frequently on BBC radio Cumbria and her song ‘Clean’ was played on The Huw Stephens show on BBC Radio 1 in 2017. Delagrave’s music draws on a diverse range of musical influences including Etta James, Tame Impala, Mac DeMarco, Alt-j and Pink Floyd.
Lauryn now plays with a live band under the name Delagrave and has since played at Kendal Calling 2018 alongside Hacienda Classical, Catfish and the Bottlemen and The Libertines followed by a slot on the BBC introducing stage at This is Tomorrow Festival in Newcastle alongside Stereophonics and Lewis Capaldi in May 2019.
Both bands have recently played at The Band Stage at Solfest Festival with stella performances, and the event is supported by Party Eh! DJ’s – Matt Green, Dave Middy, Jonny Thieves and Ell Irwin
