Photographers In Focus

It’s unsurprisingly really, given that we are lucky enough to live in one of the most photogenic spots in the UK, that Cumbria would be home to some pretty talented local photographers. Here we focus on the shutterbugs behind the lens and how they capture their stunning shots.

What would your three top tips be?

  • When buying your first DSLR or Mirrorless camera, just pick one and don’t become obsessed with the brand. All the current cameras are great and will do all you need them to.
  • Learn the basics of Photography including the exposure triangle. Youtube has a wealth of great free content which will help guide you through the process of making good images from beginner to advanced.

Lastly and most importantly is to get out and shoot as much as you can. As with all things the more you practice your craft the better you become. With all this in mind just go out, enjoy the outdoors and the beauty in front of you and have fun.
