Make a Day of It: West Coast Comedy Festival Finishes in Time for England’s World Cup Kick-Off
Comedy fans and football supporters won’t have to choose between two great events this Saturday, as the West Coast Comedy Festival at Rosehill has timed its programme perfectly to finish ahead of England’s World Cup match.
Taking place on Saturday 11 July, the festival runs from 2:00pm until approximately 9:00pm, giving visitors a full afternoon and evening of live entertainment before heading home, to the pub or wherever they’re watching England’s 10:00pm kick-off.
With sunny weather forecast, festival-goers can relax in Rosehill’s courtyard between performances, enjoying food, drinks and live entertainment throughout the day.
This year’s festival boasts its strongest line-up yet, featuring musical comedy duo Flo & Joan, award-winning comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean, rising star Ali Woods, and Cumbrian favourite Tom Little.
As well as a fantastic programme of stand-up comedy, visitors can enjoy:
- Delicious hot food from Truly Scrumptious
- A wide selection of hot and cold drinks from the bar
- Locally made Three Hills Gelato
- A special warm-up event ahead of the return of the World’s Biggest Liar competition, in partnership with Jennings Brewery
Whether you’re spending the day with friends, family or fellow comedy lovers, the West Coast Comedy Festival promises an afternoon packed with laughs, great food and a relaxed summer atmosphere—before the football takes centre stage later that evening.
With the festival just days away, organisers are encouraging people to book their tickets now.
