Kendal Mountain Festival and Páramo Unite for Exclusive Charity Film Night in Keswick

Outdoor clothing brand Páramo, based in Market Square, Keswick, is partnering with Kendal Mountain Festival for a special one-night-only adventure film event at its newly refurbished store on 18 June, celebrating the town’s vibrant outdoor community while raising funds for local charity, the Lake District Calvert Trust.

Taking place on Thursday 18 June from 6.30pm–9pm, ‘Kendal Mountain Festival x Páramo: An Exclusive Director’s Cut with Steve Scott’ will see Kendal Mountain Festival Director Steve Scott host an intimate evening of inspiring adventure storytelling at the Páramo store in the heart of Keswick.

A Keswick local, Steve Scott will guide audiences through his personally curated selection of standout moments from the world of adventure filmmaking, including favourite clips, rare screenings and behind-the-scenes stories gathered from more than two decades working alongside world-class explorers, athletes, writers and filmmakers.

The event reflects Páramo’s long-standing commitment to supporting outdoor communities and creating meaningful local experiences that bring people together through a shared love of adventure, storytelling and the outdoors. Páramo has had a presence in Keswick since August 2015 and this event follows on from the store’s recent sponsorship of the Lorton 10k race which raised money for Lorton Primary School.

As well as celebrating adventure culture, the evening will raise funds for the Lake District Calvert Trust, which enables people with disabilities to access outdoor adventure opportunities across the region. A charity raffle and attendee goody bags will form part of the evening, with complimentary refreshments available on arrival and during the interval.

Speaking ahead of the event, Steve Scott said:

“Growing up in Keswick is where my love of the outdoors began, so there’s nowhere better to come back to and reflect on what’s been an extraordinary personal journey.”

“I have been very lucky to meet and often work with some of the most inspiring people from the outdoor sector and adventure world for over 20 years.  I can’t wait to share some of my highlights and a few surprises along the way, kindly hosted by the wonderful team at the newly refurbished Páramo store.”
