Summer Sizzler on the Farm Brings a New Summer Evening Experience to Walby
Walby Farm Park is continuing to broaden its programme of experiences with the launch of Summer Sizzler on the Farm – a brand-new evening event created exclusively for grown-ups.
The event follows the success of Walby’s adults-only experiences, including Pumpkin Picking After Dark, Lambing Live – After Hours and this year’s hugely successful Walby Tulips, all of which have introduced new audiences to the attraction and demonstrated there’s growing demand for unique countryside experiences beyond the traditional family day out.

Taking place on Friday 14 August, Summer Sizzler offers a relaxed summer evening on the farm, giving friends, couples and colleagues the opportunity to experience Walby in a completely different way.

Guests can wander through the colourful Flower Fields, take a ride on the Tractor and Trailer ride, get lost in the Maize Maze, enjoy Highland Cow feeding, try Guinea Pig Fishing and explore the Animal Barn, Milecastle 62 Roman Fort and Cumbria’s largest Indoor Adventure Play Barn, before relaxing or having a dance with live music, food from The Cowshed Café and drinks from the licensed bar.

Katie Milbourn, Director at Walby Farm Park, said:
“When people think of Walby, they naturally think of family days out, and that will always be at the heart of what we do. But over the last few years we’ve seen a fantastic response to events created specifically for adults, from Pumpkin Picking After Dark to Walby Tulips.”

“Summer Sizzler is our first event designed purely to celebrate summer. It’s about enjoying a relaxed evening outdoors, catching up with friends, listening to live music, meeting the animals and experiencing Walby in a completely different atmosphere.”
“Whether you’ve visited us many times before or haven’t been since you were a child, we wanted to create an evening that offers something a little unexpected.”

The event also reflects a changing visitor market, with many of the children who first visited Walby when it opened in 2008 now returning as adults themselves. Alongside attracting families from across Cumbria and southern Scotland, the farm park has increasingly developed experiences that appeal to couples, friendship groups and those looking for a different kind of evening out.

Tickets are priced at £9.50 per person and include access to the Flower Fields, Maize Maze, Indoor Adventure Play Barn, Animal Barn and Milecastle 62, with food, drinks and Highland Cow feed available to purchase during the evening.
Tickets can be bought online from the dedicated grown ups website https://events.walbyfarmpark.co.uk/
