After an absence of seven years, singer/songwriter Mark Morriss makes his return to Whitehaven on Friday 16th February before heading back out on the road in May with his English indie outfit The Bluetones.

After The Bluetones recorded their swan song album ‘A New Athens’, in 2010 Mark turned his attention to his solo career, recording his first solo album ‘A Flash of Darkness’, funded by a successful Pledge Music campaign.

In 2015 The Bluetones announced their return with a series of anniversary shows and it started to look like there was never going to be time to work on another solo record. However, in December 2016 a new Pledge Music campaign was launched to raise a budget to do just that. The new album is entitled ‘Look Up’, and with an April release in mind, it looks like 2018 is going to be another busy year for Mark.
