THREADS OF AGORA: Bigger and Better!
THREADS OF AGORA
Bigger and Better.

A well-loved independent retailer in Cockermouth has stepped into an exciting new chapter, as Threads of Agora has officially relocated to 15b Regent House, bringing with it a shop space twice the size of its original home.
The move marks a major milestone for owner Sam, whose business has grown steadily thanks to a loyal customer base and a carefully curated range of clothing. The decision to relocate came down to one key factor: demand. With more customers coming through the doors, the need for extra space became clear.

The new, larger premises now allow for a much broader selection, giving shoppers more to browse across women’s, men’s and children’s clothing, as well as the shop’s popular school uniform range. It has also opened up new opportunities for the business to expand into different areas.

“The larger shop will allow us to expand on the different sections we have,” Sam said. “In particular I’ve wanted to focus on expanding the men’s section. There’s not a lot on the high street anymore for men, and we are hoping to offer a good variety for men as well as women.”
For customers, the move means more choice, more space, and an even better shopping experience.
For Sam, it represents a chance to grow the business further while continuing to offer the personal, friendly service that has made Threads of Agora a local favourite.

With the doors now open at its new location, the move is not just about a bigger space, but about meeting demand, evolving the offer, and bringing something fresh to the high street in Cockermouth.
