The new single from Cumbria’s Youth Salute

Every band struggles with self-doubt at times, often questioning their own creativity. With their new video for ‘Shudder’, Cumbria’s Youth Salute take us through some of the emotions a band goes through during that process, which are bringing you an exclusive look at today.
“Lyrically, ‘Shudder’ is about constantly doubting yourself and your creativity,” explain the band of their new single. “The frustrations of never quite being happy with the outcome of whatever it is you have put all your time into. For the video, we wanted to show some of the different emotions that go into creating something.
“The conclusion is that it’s not something that can be avoided really but you need to step away sometimes and not be taken over by it completely. As for the performance side of things, the idea was to have a tight, claustrophobic feel to fit with the idea of feeling stuck inside your own head.”
