Taste Cockermouth returns this year bringing with it all kinds of delights to tickle your taste-buds

The flagship Taste Cumbria festival is coming back to Cockermouth – and a Michelin-starred pop-up restaurant promises to be one of its highlights.

The Cottage in the Wood Supper Club at Low Hall the Lakes takes place on Thursday 26 September, ahead of the main event in the heart of the town on September 28 and 29.

Chef Jack Bond from The Cottage in the Wood will be creating a five course menu for the event which in the beautiful surroundings of Low Hall the Lakes, a venue more usually used for weddings where the stunning Loveable Old Barn creates the perfect backdrop for an exclusive food and drink experience. The Cottage in the Wood received its first Michelin Star five years ago and the Taste Cumbria team is excited to bring fine dining back to the festival again this year.

From producers’ stalls to exclusive dining experiences and family fun, the Taste Cumbria festivals offer something for everyone. August saw an amazing event in Maryport and the Cockermouth weekend promises to be another cracker. With more than 50 traders setting up stall on Main Street, a street party in Market Place, two live music stages, the Demo Stage, drinks tent, fairground, and a comedy night, there will be loads going on all around the town.
