Wild on the Wall is a family-friendly festival that has rapidly become one of the most beloved annual events in the area.

Held in Walton, near Brampton, this unique festival celebrates the beauty of Cumbria’s countryside, its people, and its local talent and makes a return this year on July 25th – 27th.

Organised by Dan Russell and the Poppy Rowan, Wild on the Wall is a true grassroots festival where the focus is on creating a joyful and inclusive experience for all ages. Whether you’re a music lover, nature enthusiast, or simply looking for a weekend of fun, this festival offers something for everyone.

One of the standout features of Wild on the Wall is its dedication to showcasing local talent. Every year, the festival brings together over 40 local acts, celebrating Cumbrian musicians and artists. The lineup spans a wide variety of genres, from reggae and funk, to rock and acoustic performances, ensuring there’s something to please every ear.

With familiar names such as My Little Brother and Hardwick Circus joining a host of exciting newcomers, attendees are guaranteed a music experience to remember.

What truly sets Wild on the Wall apart from other festivals is its family-oriented atmosphere. Dan Russell, the founder of the festival, has always emphasized the importance of giving back to the people of Cumbria. Having launched the event with the aim of promoting and celebrating local musicians, he has remained committed to fostering a sense of connection and togetherness. Dan explains, “This is my way of giving back to the people of Cumbria. I wanted to create an event where people could come together, heal, and be happy.”

The festival’s scenic location near Hadrian’s Wall provides a stunning backdrop for this celebration of music and community. The landscape, with its rolling hills and tranquil surroundings, complements the festival’s laid-back yet vibrant atmosphere.
