PHOTOGRAPHER IN FOCUS:Fi Kennedy
From dog walks to fell tops, Fi Kennedy captures the Lake District’s beauty in fab photography.
by Danielle Murphy
Fi Kennedy manages to capture some absolutely stunning photos. Her day job as a Stock Manager at Basecamp North Lakes keeps her busy, but in her free time you’ll find Fi stomping the fells and surrounding lakeland landscapes.

Having holidayed in the Lake District since childhood, she was fortunate enough to move to Dacre, near Penrith, four years ago. Her interest in photography began on dog walks, as a way of recording the beautiful landscapes and wildlife she encountered along the way.
“…the best advice for anyone starting out in photography is to capture what they truly love in life, as that passion will always shine through in their images.”

Fi feels incredibly privileged to live in the Lake District and delights in capturing its beauty to share with others. All her photographs are taken on her mobile phone; though she once bought a camera, the technology felt overwhelming, and she returned it after just a week. She believes the best advice for anyone starting out in photography is to capture what they truly love in life, as that passion will always shine through in their images.
