Located in the heart of Carlisle city center, you will find OKA Tapasu, a family-run restaurant offering something truly special – a fusion of Japanese and Korean flavors with a distinctive twist. As Carlisle’s only Japanese/Korean restaurant, OKA Tapasu has become a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

For over four years, OKA Tapasu has been delighting customers with its creative menu. Originally located in Carlyle Court, the restaurant moved to the vibrant Green Market just over a year ago. Since its opening, Liam, the Head Chef, has been at the heart of OKA, bringing his passion for Japanese and Korean cuisine. In September 2024, Liam purchased the restaurant, continuing to infuse his personal touch into every dish and creating an inviting dining experience for all.

As they continue to grow, there are even more exciting things on the horizon. Menus will be changing every couple of months to keep things fresh, and private hire is available for groups of 25-30, including private dining upstairs for up to 15. The much-anticipated Sushi Club will also be launching at the end of January, offering a unique sushi experience for food enthusiasts.
