New Entrepreneurs Market launches on King St this Saturday…
This Saturday sees the launch of a new monthly entrepreneurs market on King Street, Whitehaven.
The entrepreneurs market follows on from the success of Copeland Borough Council’s Young Entrepreneurs Market and will take place from 10 am until 3 pm this coming Saturday, December 10th.
As well as lots of local businesses setting up stalls throughout King St, there will also be live music from Zoe Warren.
TEG, The entrepreneurs group – has taken the market forward and opened it up to all ages and market stalls will be free to book on with a priority to retail start-ups.
TEG project manager Jenny Brumby said “The market is sited on King Street, Whitehaven, to help support town centre businesses and bring more footfall into the town centre, the previous Young Entrepreneurs Market brought vital footfall and money into the town so we already know the concept works.
It is so important to support our town centres this Christmas and our first event looks set to be a great day to do just that, with lots of local stalls surrounded by lots of great local independent retailers, live music and lots of Christmas cheer.
Going into the New Year, we will host a monthly market supporting local start-ups irrespective of age and will also showcase local musicians on market days.
The market is free to any new start-up retailer in West Cumbria and we still have a few stalls available for this Saturday, simply contact me to arrange your place. We would like to thank our sponsors Stainless Metalcraft Ltd for helping us bring this to fruition.”
