Cumbrian Search to Take Place for Missing Colin Bamber
A community search is set to take place in Cumbria this week, organised by the loved ones of missing Colin Bamber.
Merseyside man, Colin Bamber has been missing from Kirkby in Liverpool since 3 January. After his car was recovered from Ambleside in the Lake District, it was believed that the 50 year old had travelled to Cumbria, although his whereabouts are still unknown.
Colin’s family and friends who have been searching tirelessly for him over the last six weeks have organised a large-scale search of the Ambleside area, to take place on Sunday 25 February.
The search will meet at Rydal Hall in Ambleside and will take place from 10.30am – 6.30pm.
Members of the community are encouraged to help in any way they can. The organisers are looking for volunteers with first aid training and map reading experience, as well as general searchers.
However, it is stressed that all volunteers must register their interest in advance of the search on Sunday. A post on the ‘Missing Colin Bamber’ Facebook page reads: “…The search will be safely organised, your safety and well-being is paramount, please do not just turn up, we have to know who is there.”
Colin is described as white, 5 ft 7” tall, of slim build with a bald head. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts have been asked to contact the police on 101.
Anyone who is interested in taking part in the search should email firstname.lastname@example.org.
