Jeffersons Opens its Doors In Time for Christmas

The Rum Story has opened the doors to its new shop just in time for Christmas – bringing with it a whole host of locally sourced food, drink and gifts.

Since opening the doors to Jeffersons on Saturday October 1, staff members at the popular Whitehaven attraction have had their hands full filling hampers, greeting customers and ensuring the shop is ready for a bustle of Christmas shoppers.

Supervisor at the Rum Story, Wendy Black said: “The ethos behind the new shop is local produce and to provide a showcase for local products. There will be lots of local beers, a range of giftware and a wide range of confectionary. We will also be stocking a variety of hampers which make the perfect Christmas present.”

Although the shop opened its doors on October 1, there will be an official open day to coincide with the town’s Christmas Lights switch on, on Sunday November 20, when a day of celebrations will be taking place including tasting sessions held in the museum’s courtyard.

Jeffersons is open from: 9am – 5pm Monday to Saturday
