Certainly this will be a Summer full of hope, laughter, music, family and quite simply good-times gatherings and togetherness.

People, businesses and event organisers have certainly been busy paving the way for a brighter future. The stage is set, the lights are on and we are so looking forward to some of the big names that are heading our way this year.

Big hitters such as Sir Tom Jones, Stereophonics, Frank Turner, Echo & The Bunnymen are just a handful of legends that will grace stages across Cumbria this year.

Festivals are back in abundance including Solfest, Kendal Calling, Eskfest and a late edition which has already sold out, The Boof Weekender.

Whether you are off out for a bite to eat and a few drinks, a la’al bit of shopping, sightseeing, lake days – fell days or beach days, these days are certainly going to be poignant, memorable and awesome.
