Athens to Kendal – An Extraordinary Journey for an Extraordinary Caus
The BEEP Doctors are calling on the public to support one of their very own, Dr Chris Moss, as he takes on an epic challenge to raise vital funds for the charity.
The BEEP Doctors provide life-saving emergency medical care to people involved in serious accidents and incidents across Cumbria. With a team of 16 volunteer doctors covering the entire county, the charity relies on donations to supply essential equipment for its medics, enabling them to save even more lives.
This summer, while in Athens, Dr Chris Moss made an extraordinary decision: instead of flying home, he will cycle thousands of miles from Athens to Kendal. The gruelling journey will take him across countries, mountains, and countless miles of road – all in the name of raising funds for the BEEP Doctors.
“Every time we respond to an emergency, the right equipment can mean the difference between life and death,” said Dr Moss. “This challenge is my way of ensuring that our new doctors are fully equipped to save as many lives as possible.”
The charity is urging people across Cumbria and beyond to support Dr Moss’s ride. Even the smallest donation can make a significant difference.
“If everyone gave just £1, it would make a huge impact,” said a BEEP Doctors spokesperson.
