Whitehaven’s Annual Vegetable & Flower Show Returns This Saturday
Whitehaven Town Council is delighted to announce the return of the Annual Vegetable and Flower Show, taking place this Saturday in St Nicholas Gardens. Running from 10am until approximately 4pm, the event promises a fun-filled day for all ages.
In addition to the traditional competitions, visitors can look forward to plenty of family-friendly entertainment, including the Whacky Gardeners Street Theatre, a dedicated Kids’ Corner, and a variety of produce stalls showcasing local talent and flavours.
Competitions are open for entries in a wide range of categories, including vegetables, flowers, cakes, jams, and the traditional Cumbrian favourite – Rum Butter. Anyone wishing to take part is encouraged to email [email protected] for entry details.
The event will also feature an appearance from the Whitehaven Town Crier, adding a traditional flourish to what is set to be a vibrant and community-spirited day.
With competitions, performances, stalls, and activities for children, the Annual Vegetable and Flower Show is a fantastic day out for the whole family. Admission is free, and all are welcome.
