Any children attending Peter Rabbit 2 between 8 and 11 July will receive a FREE colouring pack of Peter Rabbit drawings and pencils (subject to availability). Come and have fun before the film, while enjoying an ice cream or other refreshments, or take it all home with you!

There’s been lots of hype around Supernova, starring Colin Firth and Stanley Tucci, not least because it features stunning Lake District scenery, and this runs between 15 and 18 July. And as a bonus, the screening at 1pm on Thursday 15 July will be followed by a free Q&A with Peter MacQueen, a Cumbrian-based actor who features in the movie.

The first live performance for 2021 on Rosehill’s stage is on Saturday 10 July – a new play by Gary Lagden featuring original songs by Gareth Moulton, who proved a hit with Snake Davis in 2019. Set in an industrial town, Fly Half is a celebration of working-class families who each week stand pitch-side with pride, supporting their local grassroots rugby team.

Also on stage in July is Rosehill’s Comedy Club. Five fantastic stand-ups will entertain over the course of the evening, including Steve Hall, a writer on The Russell Howard Hour (Sky One) who supported Russell on his Round the World and Respite tours. He was also one third of the sketch group We Are Klang alongside Greg Davies and Marek Larwood, writing and starring in the group’s sitcom series for BBC3 in 2009.

Running throughout July and August, our free Sekers Stories exhibition brings together original artworks by Morgan Murray Arts and poet Emma McGordon, inspired by the stories of former Sekers employees and their time working at the silk mill, alongside many archive images.
