Stir Fried King Prawns in a Chilli, Ginger & Lime sauce
A fast and fiery dish that’s full of zing. Ready in just 10 minutes, it is the perfect starter or for a satisfying main course, like tacos!
SERVES: 4 (as a starter)
PREP TIME: 5 mins
COOKING TIME: 5 mins
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 tsp Olive Oil
- 400g Raw King Prawns (frozen can be used, defrost first, pat dry)
- 1 clove Garlic, thinly sliced
- Pinch Red Chilli Flakes
- 2 balls of Opies Stem Ginger in Syrup, grated
- 1 Spring Onion, sliced
- 1 tbsp Toasted Sesame Seeds
- Salt and Pepper
- Zest and Juice of 1 Lime
- Coriander leaves (optional, to serve)
METHOD:
- In a wok, heat 1 tbsp of oil on a medium to high heat. Add the prawns and cook for 1 minute before adding the garlic and chilli.
- Cook for another minute or until the prawns start turning pink.
- Add the stem ginger, spring onion, sesame seeds, salt and pepper and cook for another 30 seconds. Add the lime zest and juice.
- Serve immediately, with a garnish of coriander if desired.
Hints & Tips: Easily adapt this dish into various main meals; just add stir fried veg or cooked noodles even!
