The Lol Goodman Band return to West Cumbria

After rocking out Florence Arts Centre earlier this year, The Lol Goodman Band are back, with a new album a new record deal and the best British blues on the circuit.

Lol Goodman and his band have been playing blues and rock for over forty years, from drummer Jon Firth’s stint with Northern Soul outfit The Powerhouse in the mid-1960s, to supporting the likes of Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix and playing with Elvis’ backing band, The Jordanaires… their pedigree is 100% rock ‘n’ blues. The current line-up have been together for just under 10 years and are regardded as one of the best live blues acts in the country, playing new material inspired by the greats.

Lol Goodman Band played at Florence Arts Centre in May and brought the house down, so we asked them to return straight away. In the meantime they’ve signed a new record deal with Right Track Records, re-released a deluxe edition of their latest album Just Wanna Say, and played shows at Maryport Blues Festival.

See them live in the intimate studio theatre at Florence and prepare to be blown away!

Supporting The Lol Goodman Band will be up-and-coming Whitehaven band The Northern Threads, who’ve been gigging locally and building up a keen following for their brand of indei rock ‘n’ roll covers. They’ll be kicking off the night, setting the scene for yet another of Florence’s celebrated gigs.
