Last chance to enjoy Snakes exhibition
TIME is running out to enjoy a wild museum exhibition in Whitehaven.
Snakes, featuring interactive displays, fun games and fascinating specimens, is open at The Beacon Museum until September 6.
From huge Burmese pythons to vibrantly-coloured milk snakes and the fearsome anaconda, the event offers a rare opportunity to discover how these amazing creatures live.
Although the exhibition itself does not contain live animals, there is one last chance to experience a Meet the Snakes live handling session at The Beacon on Saturday (12.30pm, 2pm and 3.30pm).
Alan Irwin, The Beacon’s Business Development Manager, said: “We’ve had a busy summer, with the Snakes exhibition and the Meet the Snakes sessions going down really well.
“We have one more day of handling sessions this Saturday with some spaces are still available. Then we get ready for a hugely exciting autumn season with a new feature exhibition, Gladiators: A Cemetery of Secrets, arriving on September 16.”
