Be part of the important mission to reduce suicide rates in Cumbria…
Tickets for the Every Life Matters Suicide Prevention Conference are selling fast and the charity are urging you to book soon to avoid disappointment.
The charity is delighted that tickets are selling so quickly for their Suicide Prevention Conference in April. With bookings closing in March, they are encouraging community members and employers to book their tickets to join them for a day of learning life-saving skills in suicide prevention and to help create a Suicide Safer Cumbria.
Cumbria has some of the highest suicide rates in England and Wales, with over five people dying by suicide each month—more than double the number of road deaths. To reduce these stubbornly high rates in the county and encourage societal change, everyone must get involved.
Every Life Matters believe that suicide is everyone’s business so have designed the workshop schedule to make sure that they have something interesting and inspiring for everyone on the day. Get involved and find out what you can do to help build a zero-suicide society.

- Taking Action Against Suicide
- Suicide Prevention in the Workplace
- Postvention in the Workplace: Responding to an Employee Suicide
- Creating Suicide Safer Schools
- Understanding Self-Harm
- Understanding Suicide Bereavement
- Safety Planning
- Help-seeking and Thoughts of Suicide
- Supporting Suicide Bereaved Children and Young People
- Neuro-diversity and Safety Planning
The conference is taking place on the 3rd April 2025 at Rheged Centre, Penrith and is open to anyone from employers, schools, the public sector and health services through to our third and faith sectors, sports clubs and interested individuals.
Ticket prices are £95 for the Private Sector and £75 for Charity, Community, and Public Sectors (lunch and refreshments included).
All profits from the conference will be invested back into suicide prevention and suicide bereavement activities in Cumbria.
