18 years in the making and we couldn’t still be here without you!

Pop the bubbly, we’re officially an adult! 18 years is a milestone and we’re still going strong but we wouldn’t be here today without the unwavering support of the people and the businesses who make it possible, so we have a lot of thanks to give out!
Beginning our journey as a one-man band under the title of the Whitehaven Guide as, Spud/Steve/that scouser that goes round putting the camera on unwilling victims, brought an idea to life.
The little booklet that began as a means to shine a light on local businesses and promote local events in Whitehaven, is now one of the largest reach publications in the county and covers the whole of north and West Cumbria. We couldn’t have done it, and continue to do so, without the support from the businesses who have worked with us both past and present,and put their trust in us so we’d like to give a massive THANK YOU to them. We also wouldn’t be here without you, our readers, and for that we thank you too.

With each edition we strive to do the best we can for local businesses across the county and in recent years have gone beyond the magazines and broadened our reach to the online world. The success of our online platforms is literally down to our followers, to all of you who follow us, like and share our posts and who engage with them. We thank you, by doing so you are helping to promote the hundreds of businesses that work with us and that’s the ultimate goal for us.
We don’t know what’s in store for us in the next 18 years but we do know that the high streets are starting to slowly make a comeback. Businesses are opening their doors left right and centre and the best thing we as a community can do is help and support them. We can all do that by shopping locally where we can or even acting on simple free gestures like engaging online by liking or sharing their pages and posts.
It’s those small acts that make a huge impact!
