Carlisle Cathedral is hosting a Summer Camp for children aged 8 – 12 years old

Carlisle Cathedral is hosting a Summer Camp for children aged 8 – 12 years old from Monday 28 July – Friday 1 August. This fun-filled week of activities will inspire creativity and imagination, build confidence, foster friendships, and help children to connect with a Christian theme and feel part of the Cathedral Life.

Children will enjoy a wide range of exciting activities including arts and crafts, hands-on archaeology, exploring fascinating historic collections, becoming a cathedral musician, climbing the iconic bell tower, going on special behind-the-scenes tours and uncovering hidden treasures.

With plenty of games and fun along the way, there’s something for every curious mind!

The week will be led by two experienced primary school teachers, supported by members of the Cathedral community, ensuring a safe, engaging, and enriching experience.

The Revd Canon Dr Benjamin Carter, Canon Warden at Carlisle Cathedral, said “We are really looking forward to this exciting week of Summer Camp, and can’t wait to share all that the Cathedral has to offer. The planned programme of activities promises a week full of fun and adventure!”

  • Places cost £125 for 5 days of activities. Packed lunches can be added for an additional cost, and a sibling discount is available for families.
  • Spaces can also be booked on a day-to-day basis from £25 per day.

There are only a limited number of places available, please visit
