World-class DJs who collectively have millions of followers & legendary bands such as The Happy Mondays plus Dalston’s very own Sarah Story have all descended on Carlisle Castle as part of the Borderlands Festival lineup last weekend.
And what a weekend it was! From electronic beats making your feet flow with the base, to extraordinary experiences during concerts, where Friendly Fires would fire up the stage with their passion, and Happy Mondays would take you on another level of sound adventure.
The Borderlands Festival was the first ticketed music festival to be held in this iconic, historical setting, and it was an experience not to forget. Some of us here at the Cumbria Guide are still bouncing to the tunes we’ve heard on Friday’s epic dj sets.
