Two of Whitehaven’s best events have collaborated to bring one huge celebration to the harbourside this year!

Whitehaven Weekender will bring a new and vibrant celebration to the town’s harbourside on 29th and 30th August 2026, uniting the much-loved Harbour Fest and Pride by the Harbourside into one inclusive and collaborative festival.
Designed to celebrate music, creativity and community, the two-day event will transform the waterfront into a lively and welcoming space for all.
Saturday will offer a full programme of live music, dance, creative performances and interactive experiences, while Sunday will centre around a colourful Pride parade followed by a high energy musical celebration headlined by the Vengaboys. Alongside the main programme, visitors can enjoy street food, community stalls and relaxed social spaces, creating a vibrant atmosphere throughout the weekend.

Delivered in partnership by Rosehill, Northern Equality and Diversity and Whitehaven Harbour Commissioners, the festival brings together strong local expertise and a shared vision for an inclusive community event.
