Werewolf Spotted at Carlisle Station and other Cumbrian Landmarks!
The Muncaster Werewolf Spotted at Carlisle Station!
Yesterday, Carlisle Station welcomed an unusual – and rather well-dressed – traveller. The Muncaster Werewolf, sporting his signature dapper style, made a surprise visit as part of a day out exploring the local area, ahead of The Muncaster Express Ghost Train and Muncaster Castle Halloween Festivals later this month.

Far from frightening the locals, the dashing wolf spent the day exploring stations and landmarks across the region, charming passers-by with his sharp outfit and wolfish grin. Commuters were startled but delighted to see the werewolf posing for photos and making friends with curious onlookers.
After leaving the station, the Muncaster Werewolf continued his adventure with stops at local landmarks, turning heads wherever he went. He enjoyed an ice cream in Windermere, went shopping in Booths, set sail in Keswick, and even said hello to Laurel & Hardy in Ulverston!

His whistle-stop tour brought plenty of smiles – and just the right amount of shivers – as excitement builds for his main appearance at Muncaster Castle from 25 October – 2 November for Muncaster’s famous Halloween Family Festival.
The Werewolf himself commented:
“I thoroughly enjoyed my travels through Carlisle, the stations, and some splendid local landmarks. But the real highlight is still to come — welcoming families to Muncaster this Halloween. The Castle has a certain… moonlit magic, and I’m paws-itively thrilled to share it. Trust me, it’s going to be a howling good time!”

The Muncaster Express Ghost Train, in partnership with West Coast Railways, will deliver passengers straight to Muncaster Castle, where the Halloween Family Festival will be in full swing – complete with spooky shows, pumpkin carving, creepy trails and, of course, a chance to meet the werewolf himself on home turf.
So, if you missed him on his touristy day out, don’t worry – you can catch the dapper werewolf later this month at Muncaster Castle, where Halloween magic (and a few howls) are guaranteed.

Muncaster Castle Halloween Family Festival runs from 25 October – 2 November 2025.
