HO HO HO! All you need to know about Taste Cumbria Christmas!

HO HO HO!

Come to Taste Cumbria Christmas in Cockermouth!

by Suzanne Elsworth

The county’s finest ingredients, served with a sprinkle of glitz and sparkle, and dished up with the warmest of welcomes – they’re all on the menu at the Taste Cumbria Christmas festival in Cockermouth.

The event takes place on Saturday 7 and Sunday 8 December, right in the heart of this lovely town.

The lights will be twinkling, the shop doorways will be lit by candles, the mulled wine will be flowing, and the smell of sweet and savoury treats will fill the air. This is the finest Cumbrian festive experience, and it’s the perfect place to start – or finish – the Christmas shopping.

There are loads of family fun too, with a snow globe, Christmas characters, magic show, face painting and fairground rides. Rumour has it Santa Claus will even be in town so you can tell him exactly what is on your Christmas list.

And if you’re not browsing the stalls, watching the experts at work on the Demonstration Stage, joining the family activities, or listening to the live music, Cockermouth has a wealth of independent businesses to explore. You will be able to pick up loads of food, drink and gifts that weekend, as well as stopping to eat and drink at one of the gorgeous pubs, cafes and restaurants. Enjoy!
