Phoenix Enterprise Centre (PEC) at Cleator Moor are pleased to reveal that they have appointed two new members to their Board of Volunteer Directors.
They will be sharing their skills and proven expertise to further future proof the organisation and bring outside involvement in to support the business’s ethos for regeneration and community activities.
Paul Wood Joins PEC as Digital Strategy Lead
PEC is excited to announce the appointment of Paul Wood to the Board. Paul’s vast experience in managing organisational change, driving business improvements, ensuring customer service excellence and developing and delivering cutting-edge digital strategies. His expertise will help PEC navigate the fast-evolving digital landscape, ensuring the company stays at the forefront of innovation.

Paul’s career spans over 30 years in both the private and public sectors. At Centrica, under the British Gas brand, he held various senior roles before transitioning to local government, where he made significant impacts at both Winchester City Council and Allerdale Borough Council.
Joining Allerdale Borough Council in 2015, Paul spearheaded business transformation and service improvement initiatives, eventually leading the council as Chief Executive. He successfully guided the organisation through local government reorganisation, overseeing the smooth transition from a district to unitary authority structure.
Paul’s wealth of experience and forward-thinking approach make him an invaluable addition to PEC as the company continues to innovate and adapt to the challenges of today’s digital era.
Claire Louise Chapman Joins PEC as Social Impact Practitioner
PEC is delighted to announce the appointment of Claire Louise Chapman to the Board of Directors in her capacity as social value consultant and social impact practitioner. Claire Louise is the Managing Director of The Shared Value Business, a renowned social value consultancy.
With her strong background in social enterprise management and fundraising, Claire Louise will focus on strengthening and expanding PECs relationships with corporate funders and grant-making bodies. Her expertise will be invaluable as PEC continues to foster meaningful partnerships that benefit both people and places.

PEC provides low-cost managed workspace, advice and guidance services, and collaborates with partner agencies to combat financial hardship in the community.
