A Very Merry Reptilians Christmas Knees-Up
Whitehaven-based angular indie-rock trio Reptilians are to host a FREE Christmas themed gig at St Begh’s Social Club, Coach Road,.Whitehaven on Thursday 22nd December – with doors opening at 7:00PM.
The band will be joined by Carlisle-based performer Robots With Souls, 90’s-tinged rockers Screaming Frank and Parton songsmith Vulgar Butch, with DJ Couch spinning tunes in between acts to get everyone in the Christmas mood.
When asked about what punters can expect, bass player Mike Proud quipped “we’ve put together an eclectic line-up featuring some of the best talent in the county – and best of all, it’s free for everyone to come and enjoy”. Guitarist Luke Telford agreed: “Robots With Souls has to be seen to be believed – a one-man band who manages to use a bass guitar, a drum kit and a selection of loop pedals to create one of the most energetic live shows we’ve ever seen”.
The band also promises party games and a meat raffle, complete with “speciality meat products” for the lucky winners. “You never know – Santa might even turn up too” adds Paul McGuirk – who completes Reptilians’ line up as the little drummer boy for the evening.
