Founded by Will Box, the company started humbly from Will’s mother’s garage in Carlisle and has expanded over the years—firstly to Caldewgate, which they soon outgrew, then they opened another unit in Kendal, followed by the merger into their new and bigger home located on the Kingstown Industrial Estate in Carlisle, where they are now based.
Inter Fresh supplies an extensive range including fruit and vegetables, dairy such as millk, cream and cheese, local eggs and a wide choice of prepped veg, including chips, peeled potatoes and vegetables, ideal to save time ahead of Sunday roast service.
Will and his team understand the need for a reliable local supplier who is passionate about fresh, high-quality produce and is committed to providing quality service, 6 days, 52 weeks a year.
What sets Inter Fresh apart is its commitment to freshness. Unlike many other suppliers, Inter Fresh doesn’t stockpile products. Instead, they receive deliveries from their suppliers at least five mornings a week, ensuring produce is picked, packed, and delivered to customers on the same day, guaranteeing the best quality and freshness.
Inter Fresh has cultivated strong relationships with both national buyers and local growers, enabling them to source fresh produce quickly and efficiently.
In addition to delivering top-quality products, Inter Fresh is dedicated to sustainability. They recycle all their boxes and packaging and take back used cardboard for recycling, minimising the use of plastic throughout their operations.
In March this year, Will launched FRESHO, their online ordering portal.
Knowing the industry like the back of his hand, Will knew making a chef’s life that much easier would help them manage their time and their stress levels.
