Hawkshead Agricultural Show is back!
Hawkshead Show returns this year on Tuesday August 20th at Hawkshead Hall Farm. Its set to be a fantastic event for the whole family!
This year expect to see the return of their sheep, horse and dog classes as well as their display of vintage tractors! Last year they introduced a senior fell race and also a children’s sports competition which went down a storm.
Alongside the classes and sports there will also be a variety of other aspects of the show which are always popular such as the private carriage driving and of course the horticultural contests.
Throughout the day there will be a myriad of demonstrations taking place which include a fantastic sheepdog display which allows onlookers to watch as the dogs astonish with their skills and precision. Other demonstrations include wood carving and there will be children’s entertainment from jesters.
This years event will also see some, lets say unusual visitors at an agricultural show as they will have Giant Tortoises who will be hanging around waiting to say hello, don’t worry about rushing over there though, they’re not quite as nimble as the sheep dogs.
With over 85 trade stands you can browse and pick up some delightful makes, bakes and crafts from a variety of local traders.
