SUMMER FAMILY FESTIVAL RETURNS TO GREYSTOKE CASTLE WITH LIVE MUSIC LINE-UP
Greystoke Castle is preparing to welcome visitors for a weekend of live music, family entertainment and summer celebration as its Summer Family Festival returns on Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June 2026.
Set within the historic grounds of the castle, the two-day event will run from 11am through to 9pm each day, offering a relaxed festival atmosphere designed to appeal to families, music lovers and visitors looking for a memorable day out in a unique setting.
A highlight of the weekend will be a strong line-up of live music, showcasing a mix of well-known local bands and emerging talent from across the region. Performances across the weekend will include Cassette Baby, Bare Wires, Solway Express and Cold Shot on Saturday, followed by No Good Reason, Nobodys Friends, Jude Davidson, The Readies and The John Bowie Band on Sunday. Music will run throughout the day and into the evening, creating a lively backdrop to the festival.
Alongside the music programme, visitors can enjoy a full range of food and drink, including BBQ and outdoor bars, as well as a variety of family-friendly activities to keep younger guests entertained. The event has been designed to create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere where people of all ages can relax and enjoy the surroundings.
Organisers say the festival is about bringing people together and making the most of the summer in one of Cumbria’s most distinctive locations.
A spokesperson for Greystoke Castle said: “We’re really looking forward to hosting the Summer Family Festival again this year. It’s all about good music, good food and a great atmosphere in a setting that people don’t always get to experience like this.”
“We’ve got a fantastic line-up of local talent and plenty going on for families, so it should be a brilliant weekend.”
With affordable ticket prices of £10 for adults, £5 for children, and free entry for under 5s, the event aims to be accessible to the local community while also attracting visitors from across the wider Cumbria area.
The Summer Family Festival continues to grow as part of Greystoke Castle’s programme of events, adding to a calendar that celebrates local culture, entertainment and community gatherings throughout the year.
Visitors are encouraged to book in advance, with strong interest expected for what promises to be a lively and enjoyable weekend in the castle grounds.
