Gallery North West – If you are a culture vulture and simply cannot get enough of great art, then you are in for a great surprise. Gallery North West is a brand new contemporary art gallery in Brampton, the doors will be thrown open on Saturday, March 25th as they celebrate their Grand Opening and you are all invited.
Managed and curated by three local artists, Carl Fitton, Stuart Fraser, and Annie Stride, the gallery will showcase artists from Cumbria and beyond.
Carl said, “We aim to keep a high standard of work and bring high-quality art from local and national artists for you to fall in love with. We have over 15 artists so far, and already there is a waiting list; our doors are yet to open, such is the demand for a gallery of such standing.”
Gallery North West is run in conjunction with Brampton’s Castle Framing and Gallery and will be one of the few independent art galleries in the region, offering a wide range of high-quality 2D and 3-D contemporary art over two levels.
Carl said, “Mike from Castle Framing & Gallery approached us as he had the space available. Thanks to the pandemic and people working from home, what was once office space became available. He asked us to manage it, and as the space was perfect and a gallery like this was in demand, we jumped at the chance.
We will support artists from all over the region and work with artists whose work is of high quality that will complement the artists we already have without clashing or being too similar.
We want people to be inspired and wowed with each visit. As well as paintings and digital art, there will also be furniture, lamps, bureaus, and ceramics dotted around the gallery, all of which will be available to take home,”
The space is stunning, and the lighting is spot-on, literally. The walls are decorated to complement the art which helps create an ambience and an atmosphere of calm.
All in all, the attention to detail makes visiting the gallery a pleasure and an experience to remember.
