Fundraiser to fly local lads to dads side!

After an accident left a local born man in a critical condition in the United States the local community is pulling together in an effort to raise funds to allow his sons to visit him in America.
Ian Nightingale grew up in Whitehaven but moved to the USA a few years ago. Recently he suffered a heart attack whilst driving a truck resulting in a collision. He was taken into hospital where he remains in a critical condition. Ians three young sons desperately want to visit their father but flights to America don’t come cheap and they need to raise £10,000 to cover costs.
Thankfully we live in an area where community spirit is rife and people are coming together to try and raise the funds to get the boys to their dads side.
One of the ways that money is being raised for the boys is a music event organised by Julieanne Kelly. The fundraiser will take place on Friday January 18 at Moresby rugby union club at 7pm and tickets are £5.
The event will see a variety of local musicians showcase their musical talents as well as a prize raffle. Tickets can be purchased on the door on the night.
A Go Fund Me account has also been set up by local businessman Scott Kinsella where any donations are welcome!
