Free sessions at The Beacon Portal

A STATE-OF-THE-ART conference centre is offering free introductory sessions for organisations across all sectors.

20 free half-day sessions are being offered throughout August and September at the newly built Beacon Portal, unique to the area and offering picturesque views of Whitehaven Harbour.

A second promotional offer is also up for grabs where organisations can hire the venue on four occasions during 2017 and receive their fifth booking free of charge.

The Beacon Portal, Whitehaven, is set to be launched in September and offers two rooms that accommodate up to 35 people each, alongside kitchen and restroom facilities.

The venue is fully wheelchair accessible and The Beacon Museum offers chargeable parking adjacent to the building.

Alan Irwin, Business Development Manager at The Beacon Museum, said: “With a full venue launch coming in mid-September, we wanted to give businesses and community groups an opportunity to use the building and hopefully become good advocates for what we are doing here with The Beacon Portal project.

“We want local people to be involved in the life of the building, and our priority is ensuring that it is well used will add to the sustainability of The Beacon Museum for years to come.

The free sessions will be offered on a first come, first served basis and are limited to one per organisation.

The Beacon Portal construction is funded by the Coastal Communities Fund and Copeland Community Fund.
