The Romans are coming to The Beacon Museum

Fiendish fun at The Beacon Museum

ENJOY some gloriously ghoulish family fun at The Beacon Museum this half term.

There is a huge range of events – visitors can build a haunted house or meet some creepy critters. The Pet Encounter team will be visiting, encouraging families to get up close and personal with some animal friends. Or why not try some glass making, with a professional teaching you the tricks of the trade?

People are encouraged to get creative by making a haunted house or a wooden lantern, and fancy dress is welcome all through the week.

The details of each session are below. Contact the museum on 01946 592302, or visit thebeacon-whitehaven.co.uk, to book a space. All craft sessions, and the animal encounters, are £5 (plus the normal museum entry fee). Places are limited and booking is advisable.

Councillor Steven Morgan, Copeland’s portfolio holder for The Beacon Museum, said: “We know families look for great value, fun events during the holidays, and The Beacon has delivered again. As well as all the usual four floors of interactive fun, this wide range of crafts and events should keep everyone happy. I’d advise people to book ahead as there are limited places at each session.”
