THE SANDS CENTRE PRESENTS

JACK AND THE BEANSTALK

Monday 12 – Saturday 31 December at The Sands Centre, Carlisle

Join Jack for an amazing adventure this Christmas and climb into the magical world of castles and giants in the sky! With a handful of magic beans and the help of the good fairy, Jack will be transported to a magical new kingdom where he will finally be able to help his poor mother, Dame Trott, and win the heart of his beloved Jill! But will he be able to make it back before the giant and his henchman, Fleshcreep, catch him?  With a live band, fantastic choreography and amazing special effects, come and enjoy the region’s biggest Pantomime. The all-star cast features:

George Sampson as JACK

Since winning ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ in 2008, George’s career has gone from strength to strength. He went straight onto the stage in the Novello Theatre London as a lost boy in ‘Into The Hood’. After his West End debut, George continued to dance and also began to sing releasing his debut single ‘Get Up On The Dancefloor/Heads Up’. More recently, George has been seen on our TV screens in ‘Waterloo Road’ (BBC) as Kyle Stack and in January this year joined the cast of ‘Emmerdale’ (ITV) as Ryan.

Andy Abraham as FLESHCREEP THE HENCHMAN

A platinum-selling recording artist who has performed to millions around the world, Andy was dubbed the ‘voice of the people’, when he finished as runner-up on ‘The X-Factor’. Andy’s soulful voice and down to earth personality saw him wow his mentor Sharon Osbourne, the judges and the public week after week as he took classic songs such as ‘Unforgettable’, ‘The Greatest Love Of All’ and ‘Me and Mrs Jones’ and made them his own in soaring, searing, soulful renditions.

In his incredible career, Andy has released four studio albums, including ‘The Impossible Dream’, ‘Soul Man’, ‘Even If’ and, his most recent release, ‘Remember When…’   selling in excess of half a million records.

Gabrielle Green as THE GOOD FAIRY

Gabrielle Green was cast in her current role as Katrina in CBBC’s hit TV show ‘Wolfblood’ in 2011.  Since then Gabrielle has also had guest appearances on the TV Series ‘Cuckoo’ and many CBBC children’s shows including ‘Blue Peter’ and ‘The Slammer Xmas Special’ with Thorne from ‘Splatalot’.

Robbie Dee as DAME TROTT

The beloved CFM breakfast presenter will be gracing The Sands Centre stage again this year playing Dame Trott, Jack’s poor Mother. Playing a Dame again for the first time in 4 years Robbie cannot wait to be back on stage and back in a frock to entertain people from around the region for the entire festive season.

Sarah Hughes as JILL

Former Austin Friars student Sarah Hughes is nineteen years old and from Carlisle. She is currently going into her second year of training at Italia Conti Academy of Performing Arts. Sarah said “I’ve always loved performing on The Sands Centre stage and, up until I moved to London, have always taken part in my local stage school’s productions”. A former StagedRight pupil, she is familiar with performing at The Sands Centre however, she looks forward to making her professional debut on “…the stage that feels most like home”.
