Glasgow-based rock band Glasvegas have announced a 10th anniversary show, celebrating their critically-acclaimed self-titled debut album Glasvegas. The band will be performing the record in its entirety.

Glasvegas first shot to prominence in 2008, combining real-to-life stories with a Phil Spector-esque wall of sound, bearing hit singles like “Daddy’s Gone” and fan-favourite “Polmont on my Mind”.

The band, which consists of James Allan (vocals), Rab Allan (guitar), Paul Donoghue (bass) and Jonna Löfgren (drums) peaked at number 2 in the official album charts with their eponymous debut, which was nominated in 2009 for the Mercury Music Prize. The album was well-received across Europe and North America, where the band subsequently embarked on numerous tours. Since then, the band has released two full-length albums, Euphoric Heartbreak (2011) and Later… When The TV Turns To Static (2013), both of which went to receive praise from industry critics and fans alike.

The performance takes place on September 7th at The Old Fire Station, Carlisle.
